Location of Incident: County 5th Street & Avenue 17E
On Wednesday, March 13th around 1715 hours, the Sheriff’s Office was contacted in reference to a loose horse in the area of County 5th Street and Avenue 17E in Dome Valley. Deputies assigned to the area located the horse on County 5th Street near the Gila River. Deputies, as well as a Sheriff’s Posse member, made attempts at locating the horse’s owner, which were unsuccessful. The horse is described as a Palomino Paint gelding, around 15 years of age. The Sheriff’s Office is currently caring for the horse while attempts to locate the owner are made. If unsuccessful, the horse will be turned over to the custody of the State Livestock Officer.
