Location of Incident: Highland and Ventura Road, Dateland, AZ
On Friday, March 29, 2013, at 0601 hrs, the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a two vehicle injury collision in the 3700 block of east County 10th Street. The vehicles involved were a gray 2005 Ford Ranger which was eastbound on County 10th Street and a white 2005 GMC Sierra, which was westbound on County 10th Street.
Initial investigation revealed that the Ford crossed the center line and struck the GMC on the rear left panel. Both vehicles came to rest off the roadway.
The Ford was being operated by Mr. Adrian Michael DeLeon, an 18 year old male from Yuma, Arizona. Mr. DeLeon was transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center via Rural Metro Ambulance for minor back pain.
The GMC was being operated by Mr. John Paul Parriett, a 47 year old male from Yuma, Arizona. Mr. Parriett sustained no injuries.
The driver of the Ford was cited for A.R.S. 28-701A, Failure to control and A.R.S. 28-721A, Failure to drive on right side of the road. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the collision.
