Location of Incident: 4500 E. Levee Road (Confluence) - Yuma, AZ
Yuma County Sheriff’s Investigators have identified two subjects as persons of interest in this case.
Subject 1: Matthew Jimenez also goes by the nickname “Sapo”. He is described as a Hispanic male, 26 years old, approximately 5’06” tall and 150 lbs. with brown hair and brown eyes.
Subject 2: Jesse Ramirez is described as a Hispanic male, 25 years old, approximately 6’00” tall and 180 lbs with brown hair and brown eyes.
The male subject who suffered a stab wound, previously thought to be a victim in this case, has been identified as a potential suspect and may face criminal charges in this incident.

On June 9, 2013 at approximately 7:23 p.m., the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office was alerted to a shooting disturbance at the confluence area located at approximately 4 ½ E and the levee road. Witnesses reported a large number of people fighting in the area, along with reports of gunshots.
Upon arrival, deputies discovered that one male subject had been stabbed sustaining life-threatening injuries while another four subjects had sustained minor injuries. The male victim was transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center. All suspects had fled the scene prior to the deputies’ arrival.
Yuma County Sheriff’s Office investigators are actively searching for two Hispanic males in their mid 20’s that may have been involved in the disturbance.
