Shooting Disturbance

Location of Incident: 2500 block of E. 15th Place - Yuma, AZ

Suspect: Marvin INIGUEZ, 19 years old, of Yuma, Arizona

On 06-15-2013 at approximately 2308 hours, the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office responded to an apartment complex in the 2500 block of E. 15th Place in reference to a male subject armed with a shotgun who had already fired off two rounds and was threatening people in the complex. Upon arrival, Deputies were advised that the armed subject was last seen in a commercial yard to the east of the apartment complex. Deputies set up a perimeter and the suspect was located and taken into custody without incident. A search warrant was obtained for the suspect’s residence and the shotgun was recovered. The suspect was booked into the Yuma County Detention Center on multiple charges of Aggravated Assault, Endangerment, and Disorderly Conduct involving a weapon.

There were no injuries sustained by any of the victims, the suspect, or responding law enforcement personnel. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office at 928-783-4427.
