Burglary Suspect Arrested

 

Location of Incident: 8100 block of South Yavapai Lane - Yuma, AZ


On June 27, 2013 at approximately 11:45 p.m., the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office received a tip providing information on the whereabouts of a suspect that had been wanted for multiple residential burglaries. Deputies responded to the area as a result of the information received. As deputies approached the area, they witnessed a vehicle leaving the residence and initiated a traffic stop. The suspect pulled over and immediately fled from the vehicle. A foot pursuit lead deputies to the 8100 block of South Yavapai Lane where the suspect was located hiding in a nearby yard.

The suspect was arrested and booked into the Yuma County Adult Detention Center for multiple burglaries, warrants, false reporting and drug charges.

Suspect: Alex Robles, Jr. aka “Smokie”, 20 years old, Yuma, 5’5”, 118 pounds.

Deputies had been actively working off of leads attempting to locate him in the area and have made multiple arrests for hindering prosecution.

The Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Bureau continues to work on locating further victims related to this arrest. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office at 783-4427, or 78-CRIME to remain anonymous.
