Burglary Suspects Arrested

 

Location of Incident: 11000 block of E. Via Salida - Yuma, AZ


On July 3, 2013, at approximately 12:36 a.m., a Yuma County Sheriff’s Office Deputy on routine patrol in the area of the 11000 block of E. Via Salida in the Foothills observed two subjects jumping a fence into a residential yard. A purse containing valuables was located by the fence where the suspects had been seen jumping the fence. Deputies searched the back yard and located both suspects hiding inside a storage shed on the victims’ property. The suspects admitted to burglarizing two vehicles in Mesa Del Sol and other areas including Calle Raquel and Via Salida.

Suspect 1 – Giovanni Cinquemani, 18 years old, of Yuma was arrested and booked into the Yuma County Adult Detention Center for burglary, theft, possession of stolen property and criminal trespass.

Suspect 2 – 16 year old female juvenile was arrested and booked into the Yuma County Juvenile Justice Center for burglary, theft, possession of stolen property and criminal trespass.

As a reminder do not leave high dollar items in your vehicle, these items can be easily removed and cocealed by someone walking down the street. We encourage the public to be sure that your vehicle and residence are properly secured for the evening and to pay attention and watch for suspicious vehicles and persons moving about the area.
