Two Somerton residents were arrested, and various illicit drugs seized Friday August 22, 2014 by the Yuma County Narcotics Task Force.
YCNTF began investigating the occupants of a residence at 226 S State Avenue, Somerton, AZ after receiving reports of possible illegal drug activities occurring at the house.
The investigation led to a search warrant which was served by YCNTF Agents at about 8:40 a.m. with assistance from the U.S. Border Patrol Canine and Intel Unit.
During the search, the deputies and agents found 1g of heroin, 1g of methamphetamine, and various paraphernalia.
Josephine Natal, 58, was arrested and booked into the Yuma County Adult Detention Center where she faces potential charges including possession of a dangerous drug and possession of a narcotic drug.
Ruben Hernandez, 37, was arrested and booked into jail for possession of a Dangerous Drug.
Two high school aged juveniles were contacted at the residence and released to their relatives.
