Lt. Edgar Guerrero
 

Lieutenant Edgar Guerrero joined the Sheriff’s Office as a Detention Officer on August 23, 2004 after serving 8 years in the United States Navy as an Aviation Boatswain’s Mate. During his time in the Navy, he served aboard the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower out of Norfolk, Virginia. He also completed a tour of duty at the Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Illinois as a Recruit Division Commander.

After joining the Sheriff’s Office, Guerrero was assigned as a Unit Manager through various custody levels and housing units. He was then assigned as a Booking Officer before transitioning into the Classification Department in 2007. In 2010, Guerrero was assigned as the Grievance Officer for the Detention Center.

On April 10, 2011, Guerrero was promoted to the rank of Corporal and was assigned to the Support Section as the supervisor of the Classification, Programs, and Educational Services departments. In October 2012, Guerrero transitioned back to the Detention Center Custody Section where he rotated through all three shifts as a Floor Supervisor.

On August 17, 2015, Guerrero was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and was assigned as a Detention Center Custody Section Lieutenant.

In July 2022, Lt. Guerrero transitioned to the Program Services position where his areas of responsibility include custodial services, inmate programs, medical services and records management.
