Bond Information
Generally most misdemeanors that are not domestic related have set bonds. If an inmate is charged with a felony, they will have to appear in court within 24 hours and a Judge may set a bond.

You may contact the Detention Center at (928) 782-9871 and the Admitting Clerk will be able to tell you if an inmate is eligible for a bond. If an inmate is not eligible for a bond, a court appearance (initial appearance) will be set. The Admitting Clerk can provide you with the location and time.

Posting Bonds
A bail bond for an inmate can be posted at the court of record. The Yuma County Detention Center can provide information regarding the court of record and charges for inmates. The Yuma County Detention Center will accept cash bonds in the exact amount ONLY after business hours. Detention staff cannot make change.

Bail bondsmen are listed in the phonebook under Bail Bonds. NOTE: Per Arizona state law, the Yuma County Detention Center is not permitted to recommend a bondsman, nor assist you in contacting a bondsman.

Inmates released from custody or being bonded out will be processed and released within a reasonable amount of time, barring any unforeseen events, security procedures or emergencies within the facility.
