Admitting Department

The Admitting Department is responsible for the day-to-day administrative tasks within the Detention Center to include:

• Inmate intake and exit processing (booking & releases)
• Inmate property maintenance
• Inmate criminal records maintenance (includes status of court cases)
• Discharge planning for high risk and mentally ill offenders

A total of 10,476 inmates were processed in and out of the Yuma County Detention Center in 2025. Of this number, 5,249 were bookings and 5,227 were releases.
